Frankfurt Pauls Church
Built between 1789 and 1833, this church served as Frankfurt's main Evangelical Lutheran church until 1944. In March 1944, the building burnt down after an air raid, as did many other buildings in the old town.
In 1947/48, the building was rebuilt as Frankfurt's first historical building and was ceremoniously reopened in 1948 as the "House of All Germans". Today, the building is used as an exhibition, memorial and meeting centre.
