With the Mint Tower expansion, your castle reflects this increase in status. The minting facility is located in the solid core of the tower, with materials and minting dies safely stored behind a thick door. In the powder storage, gunpowder is kept secure for the ring cannon mounted atop the tower. A wall walk guards these sensitive areas, while a ramp leads to the entrance gate. Palisade elements also allow you to flexibly design the castle’s courtyard. This expansion requires the base Castle Blaustein, the keep expansion, the outer bailey, the hall expansion, and the hoarding expansion.

The gatehouse is waiting for its master builder – are you ready? With this essential expansion, you complete the transformation of the outer bailey from wood to stone. The stone gatehouse with stair tower includes a guardroom, drawbridge and portcullis mechanisms, an archive, an inner courtyard and much more. The stair tower leads to both a living area and the guardroom, which houses the winches for the portcullis and drawbridge, as well as tables and benches. Above the archive, you'll find the guards’ sleeping quarters. The stair tower with its wooden dormer gives the watch a clear view over the courtyard. This expansion requires the base Castle Blaustein, the keep expansion, the outer bailey, the hall expansion, the hoarding expansion and the mint tower.

With this addition, you elevate the entire structure to its final height of an impressive 75 cm, reinforcing its character as a hilltop castle. The great hall is fortified with so-called hoardings – wooden, overhanging walkways mounted on the walls of a stone fortification. In addition, the keep receives a wooden extension that visibly emphasizes the authority of the castle’s lord from afar. Fitting architectural details such as bay windows and turrets are added to the manor house to round out the design. This expansion requires the base Castle Blaustein, the keep expansion, the outer bailey expansion, and the hall expansion.

With this addition, your castle reaches the High Middle Ages, featuring a lavishly furnished and richly detailed hall building. The vaulted cellar with its Gothic ribbed vault, the lordly quarters above with canopy bed and fireplace, and finally the knight’s hall with shield gallery, banquet table, and passage to the chapel – all come together to create an authentic structure that feels as if it were taken straight from medieval times. Above the entrance is a lounge with a fireplace and bed, and above that is the guard platform! Please note that the basic castle in mini blocks (set 110085) is required to build this expansion.

Added to this is a wooden outer bailey with a palisade, battlement, watchtower and wooden guardhouse. The open ground floor even features a functional workshop. Eight minifigures are also included to bring your scenes to life and significantly increase the play value of the new outer bailey. As a master builder, you will also make several changes to the existing complex: the original palisade of the main castle will be replaced by a stone wall – including a new gatehouse and functioning portcullis. With this outer bailey extension, the castle's footprint grows to an impressive 70 x 50 cm. Please note: Both the Blue Stone Castle base and the Keep Extension are required for this extension.

Even the medieval construction and statics techniques become visible through the build. This new edition of Castle Blaustein features 7 minifigures: the lord and his wife, two servants and three soldiers that guard the ramparts. It also contains several printed parts that show the coat of arms of Castle Blaustein.
