Add a radiant landmark to your Castle Blaustein.

With the keep (Version 1), you give your base Castle Blaustein a highly visible landmark in its first stage of expansion. This initial extension includes not only the tower with its access staircase but also a palisade extension to further protect your growing fortress. The keep itself features a secured entrance area with a hatch leading to the basement, a living chamber with fireplace and bed above the entrance, and a watch platform at the top. Important: This keep expansion Version 1 can be upgraded to the improved Version 2 using the update kit (107091).

Version 2 replaces the detailed liftarm wall construction in the middle section of the tower with a structure made of plates and bricks, providing greater stability and stronger bonding. This also makes the set easier to modify. In addition, Version 2 includes subdivided building steps.

There will be a conversion manual for each of the possible expansion stages up to the Hoarding Extension.

No, all further extensions work with both versions of the Keep.

By searching for the Castle keep extension or its item number 103406 on our shop, the product page will appear with a link to the instructions. Alternatively, the “Building Instructions” button at the bottom of the shop provides access as well.

There are color differences between the Castle Keep V1 and Blaustein Castle. The Update Kit follows the color scheme of Castle Keep V1. Castle Keep V2, however, includes subdivided building steps and matches the color scheme of the base castle.
